This [wiki:community] effort seeks to develop an ontology of oceanographic devices, including both sensors (which measure things) and samplers (which pick up things). More information about the project can be found at the [http://marinemetadata.org/ontdev MMI Device Ontology Working Group web site]. Some of the documents, as well as the ontologies, are in an SVN repository, which you can browse [source: here]. More svn access instructions can found in the [wiki:InstructionsSVN] page. This site is used to track the actions and activities associated with the project. Anyone can contribute an issue or other information to the requests database. We request you log in before adding or editing tickets, or adding comments. The information in this wiki is organized according to Components, which are visible within the ticket interface or in [http://mmisw.org:8081/ontdev/report/9 a view of tickets by component]. Tickets can be assigned to a Milestone. We use schedule-based milestones based on the telecon dates. The milestones builds our [http://mmisw.org:8081/ontdev/roadmap roadmap]. The tickets associated with each milestone (or telecon) can be viewed at [http://mmisw.org:8081/ontdev/report/6 Report of Tickets by Milestone]. Versions will be used later if needed. For more information on the various fields you can visit [http://mmisw.org:8081/ontdev/wiki/TracTickets the Trac Tickets page]. Please contact John Graybeal for additional information on this site.
