The MMI Ontology Registry and Repository is running a modified version of BioPortal, a Web-based application for accessing and sharing biomedical ontologies developed by the National Center for Biomedical Ontology (NCBO). The Marine Metadata Interoperability project would like to thank the National Center for Biomedical Ontology for their assistance and collaboration. Specifically, the Stanford NCBO team, including Benjamin Dai, Michael Dorf, and Nick Griffith, were essential in providing support in the installation and configuration of the framework.

BioPortal is released under a Mozilla Public License. MMI will be contributing code changes back to the original project on an ongoing basis.
